Greg Norman designed the nines at Jade Palace, an exclusive and pricey club not far from Seoul. The site is larger than many of the hillside clubs in the region, so Norman was able to set his holes next to each other in order to make the most of the picturesque scenery and rugged terrain. Among the excellent holes are the 14th, which features an infinity green and is framed by a dramatic vista, and the signature finishing hole, which plays to a green that is framed by a rock face and a waterfall that flows into a large pond. Norman's touch is evident in the brilliant sand bunkers, which can really trip up less accomplished players. The contouring of the greens and fairways and the bunkering are reminiscent of the classic Melbourne Sandbelt courses. Upkeep at Jade Palace is impeccable, though foreign visitors may lament the absence of practice areas.
