Playing golf in Scotland is special and Elie is no exception. Is is a short course (approx 6200 yards) with one or two quirky holes but remains a true fun links challenge. The first hole is pretty unique as you hit a blind tee shot over a hill and cannot start until the starter checks if the fairway is clear with the help of a WWII submarine periscope! From the sixth, you will be closer to the see. The stretch from the 10th to the 13th is among the best holes in Scotland with stunning views over the beach and the sea. In general, I was positively surprised by the quality of Elie, which is shadowed by its prestigious neighbors such as Kingbarns or the St Andrews courses. Elie is definitely worth a round if you are in Fife!
