During your round you will experience five lakes, natural streams and rolling terrain and have to guide your golf ball across the natural gorge (twice) and over 65 sand bunkers. Five holes are "Scottish Links" style with no trees.
When you are standing on a green at Sebastian Hills you have 12" of sand + 4" of pea gravel (with drain tiles cut into the soil) under your feet. Our greens average 7,000 sq. ft. in putting surface.
All wooded areas on the course are played as parallel hazards, only one stroke penalty, lay found ball or new ball 2 club lengths from point you entered the hazard and play away.
During extreme hot weather and lack of rain, greens get the water. Hard fairways help us short knockers but watch your approach shot, you may need to go with one less club if you cannot fly the ball to the green. Our greens will receive good shots. Sometimes tees are hard because of preservation of water during hot weather. Look for greener areas that will accept your tee much easier.
