Set in rolling parkland, with several water features integrated into the design of the holes, the course is a par 69 hosting four par 3s, thirteen par 4s and just one par 5. Cobtree can play fairly short to the experienced golfer but still remains a genuine challenge, requiring accurate tee shots due to the tight, tree-lined fairways. The most difficult hole on the course is the 13th. This long uphill par 4 playing 433 yards requires two excellent approaches to secure a par; many a golfer will be happy to note a 5 down on the scorecard. The 12th hole, 130 yards from the visitors’ tee, is Cobtree’s signature hole: a visually intimidating tee shot that requires all golfers to carry 100 yards of water. The USGA specification greens here at Cobtree are fully open all year round. We are very proud to offer this service. There is no driving range, but we have a large practice putting area directly outside the pro shop, two practice nets on the way to the first tee, and a practice fairway alongside hole 7 ideal for improving your short-mid iron play.
