No player, whatever the skill level, would fail to enjoy Chapelco. Here in Patagonia, golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his older son Jack II joined forces in 2006 to create an unparalleled masterwork, their first in South America. Situated a little over ten miles from San Martin de los Andes, South America's greatest mountain range provides stunning vistas from any tee. Some players will struggle more than others, but even better players will be challenged by some of the shots. While Chapelco leaves something to be desired with respect to the speed of its greens and the upkeep of the course, it remains one of the most enjoyable in Latin America. Part of the attraction is a rustic clubhouse with a well-supplied pro shop, a 19th Hole bar and top-flight restaurant, while the associated 5-star Loi Suites Chapelco Hotel Resort & Spa offers many other opportunities for sports and recreation.
