After playing Royal County Down in the morning, we drove 30 minutes to play Ardglass and we very much enjoyed it. The green fee is not so expensive, and the club not so fancy, but it was an excellent experience. They were doing some work on the tee boxes, but my guess is that they will be outstanding. The first hole is very unique with an uphill shot and a tee box right in front of the Ardglass castle. The green of this par 4 is quite unique inside a natural arena. The next 4 play by the water are of high quality but the true Arglass experience reached its peak when we made the turn. The 10th hole is a downhill par 3 (175 yards) with a magnificent view of the bay and a strong wind. Hit a full 3 wood to barely reach the green because of the wind. Then the par 5 11th is one of the best holes we played on this trip, longing the bay on the right and at the bottom of the cliff on the left side, a pure beauty. The 12th is another great hole by the water, always challenging with the strong wind!
The closing hole offers a great view of the castle from up top and was a great view to conclude our amazing Northern Ireland golfing experience!
