Good

Back at KArsten after 19 years. Always a good value for the money in this area. Greens in good conditions, simple design but efficient. Not a walking course as there are extremely long walks between holes. Ladies and high handicap friendly as there are no hazard that need to be carried. Greens can be a good challenge for good players to convert their iron shots. Simple clubhouse restaurant good for lunch or turn.

Very good

Surrounded by mountains the views endless. With a nice grass driving range your warm-up session for your round starts on a good note. Very happy with the option of riding or walking as the club has manual pull carts available. The walking distance between holes isn't so bad for an American Design. So if you are a walker enjoy. Playing the Gold Course, was very enjoyable as the desert style design had great proportions between fairways /waste areas. Greens are on the smaller side which makes for some interesting 2nd shots. Only one water hazard in the course and no abuse of waste areas in the front tees makes it a ladies friendly layout. The course was well cared for and consistent during the entire round. Greens where in good condition with a very good speed. Favorite hole was 15th, par 3 with a bean shape green. The view was amazing since beyond the green and all the way surrounding the right side of the hole you look into a cactus field. It feels you are really playing in the middle of the desert. Tips: on the greens if you are putting away from the mountains the puts will go faster (no matter if you are putting up or down hill) and going towards the mountain everything will go slower. And don't forget if you are playing early morning or late afternoon that the temperatures are about 10 degrees lower there, so bring a jack and ladies don't forget your leggings. Staff from the bag drop-off, to the pro-shop and the restaurant was present and helpful while being discret.
