Andy North, Roger Packard
The spring of 1991 marked the birth of Trappers Turn Golf Club and the dream fulfillment of Robert and Patricia Francis from Green Lake, WI to create a golf lover’s paradise. Two-time U.S. Open Champion Andy North and renowned golf course designer Roger Packard have created what many consider the ultimate golf course. North and Packard masterfully molded a layout to compliment the differing land features. The course is set in an area carved by glaciers, with the beauty of the Wisconsin Dells countryside as its backdrop creating a uniquely challenging and scenic design. The canyons were formed when melting waters of the glacier cut through the native sandstone leaving a natural route that today encompasses some of the most panoramic golf holes found anywhere.Trappers Turn Golf Club hosted the 1998 Wisconsin State Open, won by PGA tour winner Steve Stricker, as well as several Wisconsin PGA Championships. Some of the best players in the world have attempted to conquer Trappers Turn.
