The course at Thai Country Club was designed under US PGA international standards by Denis Griffiths, at that time president of the world-renowned American Society of Golf Course Architects. The course opened in December 1996 and was immediately tested during the Asian Honda Classic in 1997. Tiger Woods obviously won the tournament by shots, establishing a course record of 64. With its 6544-meter length, the entire course features immaculate conditions, a neo-classic design and alkali variety from hole to hole, along with an abundance of water and sand hazards. The Thai Country Club is strictly private during weekends (except for hotel's guests) but allows visitors on weekdays. The signature hole Par Three 6th is for sure the most scenic hole of the course.
