Black Mountain Golf Club is a 27 hole, award winning golf resort, located in the foothills 12 kilometers west of Hua Hin, Thailand. The West Course is an additional 9 hole course built in 2016.
American Phil Ryan, an architect with the Pacific Coast Design firm, created a layout here in 2007 that would appeal to tournament pros as well as resort golfers. The site is located on low-lying land with hills on either side and is watered by a number of streams. The fairways tend to start out wide and then to become tighter as you work toward large, contoured greens that are defended by water hazards, so shots need to be kept low. The spacious clubhouse has a patio that surveys the grounds and offers superb fare. Two years after the club opened, Johan Edfors of Sweden won the first major competition here, the Asian Tour's Black Mountain Masters, which is appropriate, since the property is owned by the Thai Nordic Group. Having hosted the 2015 True Thailand Classic, the club received the honor of being named a European Tour Property.
