Ljunghusen in Hollviken is another club on the Falsterbo Peninsula, and though its location may not be as spectacular as that of Falsterbo Golfklubb, the part oceanside, part heathland site is still quite nice; it is considered one of the few authentic links in Sweden. An original nine was hacked out along the beach by the club's founders in the early 1930s; two more nines were added over the next few decades. The premier course consists of these latter two nines, though the earlier nine is still worth playing. The layout is spacious and is enlivened by native vegetation and wildlife and crisp, clean air; the heather is beautiful, especially on evenings in the warm months, though it is easy to lose a ball in it. Swedish star Henrik Stenson captured a title there, but the top score belongs to Luke Donald, a 63.
