Bokskogens Golf Club opened its doors in 1964, and from the beginning the course was hosting such competitions as the Scandinavian Enterprise Open, which Tony Jacklin won in 1974, and the PLM Open, which Ronan Rafferty won in 1990 when he was Europe's top player. The layout is kept up to snuff by local designer Tommy Nordstrom, who oversaw the reconstruction of the greens shortly after the turn of the millennium. Now measuring just over 6500 meters from the tips, the Gamla Banan eighteen gives experienced players the opportunity for some nice drives. Though the landscape is wooded, the trees are not part of the course's strategy. Lake Ydingesjon provides the backdrop for the most memorable holes, but the whole course is fun and relaxing. The two nines begin and end at the clubhouse, which offers refreshments. There are lodgings available on site and more options in nearby Malmo.
