Creek and Highland
The course that Ronald Fream and David Dale created at Nine Bridges put their firm, Golfplan, on the map. The designers made the most of gentle changes in topography and native trees to shape some of the finest holes in the country. The par 5 18th, which has provided some a conclusion to some tournaments here, is one standout: a player can either try to thread a gap through trees on one side and water on another to reach the island green in two, or skirt the trees on the other side to make the green in three. Unusually for a Korean club, Nine Bridges offers a range of practice facilities, so it is a go-to establishment for international competitions. A shuttle service runs from the airport to the modest clubhouse, which offers everything players need. The club is members-only; those lucky enough to receive an invitation to play must not miss the opportunity.
