Renaissance is directly bordered by Archerfield Links and Muirfield Golf Club. Both Gullane and North Berwick Golf Courses are only a few kilometers away too. The course here was actually only opened in 2008 and is based within an old pine forest rather than your traditional Links track. It definitely has a similar Links feel though with intense bunkering and thick rough throughout. The greens are large and quite undulating which should put a little extra pressure on the approach shots. There are three holes along the coast line that have recently been re-designed and offer some very enjoyable views too. Renaissance has definitely done a great job getting the whole course set up for a Rolex Series event!

Absolutly fabulous, The Renaissance club is a quiet new but le lay out is great and the conditions are improving every year. Hoping to see a great tournament like the Senior Open Championship . Favorite hole could the 10th, signature hole but i prefer the 8th. Accomodation is great as well as the restuarant with a very Good Italian Chef.

Overall the course was in great condition considering it was monsoon conditions. The new holes along the water are pretty special as well. The rest of the course is good but it is the grand clubhouse with hot tubs looking over the course that make your visit to The Renaissance that wee bit more special.

Fortunate enough to play Renaissance last week... Course was in excellent condition, challenging lay out, very tricky greens. Long way around, however extremely enjoyable. Great showers, and comfortable bar for a drink afterwards. Great experience!

I was fortunate enough to play Renaissance on a glorious day in July. The course was in pristine condition with brutal rough. Renaissance won’t enter in the true Scottish links category but it does play like a links with its firm and fast greens, big ground undulation, and tight lies. The layout fits perfectly within the nature and reach its climax when you arrive by the turn and play 3 stunning holes by the sea. There is not any week hole and most of them are actually quite outstanding in their own way and I believe the par 4 8th deserves to be among the best and most beautiful par 4’s in the world. Renaissance has definitely the calibre to host a European Tour Event. All in all, it was a fantastic golfing experience with world class facilities! Don’t turn down your next invitation to play Renaissance!
