Loch Lomond lives up to the history and mystery suggested by its storied name, and to the natural splendor of its surroundings. Tom Weiskopf and Jay Moorish took very seriously the honor of creating the course here, and they invested all of their attention and artistry, and a year of their lives, to ensure that it would be visually pleasing and a true test of golf. The proof is in the pudding, and the Scottish Open Championship has returned repeatedly to Loch Lomond. Every hole is unique and unforgettable, including the pair right on the Loch on the front nine and on the forested back nine the 14th, a short par 4 that gives great golfers the opportunity to reach the green with a drive (or to lose a ball). The club is private, and its membership is most exclusive. Amenities include a spa and a historic walled garden.
