It is with pleasure that we welcome you to The Kilmacolm Golf Club, "The Golf Year Book, James Braid Golf Society Golf Club of the year 2013". The Club was founded in 1891 and we are proud of our traditions as a village club. It has been described as "a miniature Gleneagles" and can be found above the picturesque village of Kilmacolm in Renfrewshire some fifteen minutes from Glasgow International Airport.
On the occasion of our centenary Bernard Gallacher, who succeeded Tony Jacklin as Captain of the European Ryder cup team, played an exhibition match and afterwards wrote, it was "a joy to play over your inland moorland course with all its heather, whins, bracken and fine backgrounds of fir trees."
Belle Robertson, the renowned Scottish lady golfer, lists Kilmacolm as one of her ten favourite Scottish Golf courses. We hope that members, guests and visitors will be able to relax in our elegant, comfortable surroundings whether enjoying a drink or snack in the lounge or a full meal in the main restaurant.
