Carnwath Golf Club was founded in 1907 on a piece of land called Gallow Hill, situated to the west of the village of Carnwath. The club crest bears a motif of Carnwath Motte, a natural or man-made mound on which a castle or tower was erected, built in the 12th century, still a visible feature of the course, located behind the first green. Carnwath is an undulating, picturesque parkland course with great views over the surrounding countryside. Accuracy is the key to a good score here with hazards along the way, small greens and a tough finish. The rural setting of the Golf Club is easily accessible from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, making it a popular venue for visitors. Renowned for their hospitality, the staff and members will make your visit both pleasant and enjoyable.
