Oakmont Country Club, located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, opened at the beginning of the twentieth century and has been an exclusive bastion of golf ever since. Its legendary greens have put the finest players to the test through eight US Opens (with another scheduled for 2016), a recent US Women's Open, three PGA Championships and many other competitions. A flush of excitement comes over you when you tee off, knowing that so many renowned golfers have played here. Oakmont is always in great shape and always interesting. The unique "church pew" bunkering is evident on the 3rd and 4th, and some of the greens slant in the opposite direction from the fairways. One measure of how difficult the layout is is the fact that Angel Cabrera's winning score in the US Open in 2007 here was five over. The VIP treatment begins when you arrive and extends to all facets of the experience here.
