Macreddin Golf Club Nestled in an area of outstanding beauty deep within the Wicklow Country side sits Macreddin Golf Club. It was designed by incoming Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley. This was McGinley's first venture into course design and the results are spectacular. From the black tees it measures 7173 yards, this par 72 meanders its way through the 160 acre property incorporating all the hallmarks of Paul McGinley's design philosophy. The front nine sweeps eastwards from the clubhouse. Mature tree lined fairways synonymous to Macreddin Golf club are evident from the opening holes. Panoramic views throughout the valley combined with meandering fairways between gentle slopes and natural contours of the terrain, epitomise the style and splendour of the front nine. Moving across the valley the back nine uses all of Macreddin's natural elements, statuesque pines, well protected greens and elevated landing areas. The free flowing brook weaves its through the back nine ensuring that decision making is an essential tool each golfer must carry. Also at Macreddin we are fortunate to have the Brooklodge Hotel and Wells Spa situated on our grounds. With over 90 rooms many of which feature four poster beds or sleigh beds with window seats where you can admire the most stunning of views. The hotel features the world renowned Strawberry Tree Irelands only organic restaurant which serves only wild and organic produce set in the most dramatic of dining settings.
