If you happen to be invited to play the Delhi Golf Club Lodhi Course, do not hesitate a second !! It is an awesome place with some tees alongside ancestral thomb monuments. I don't know if it is customary, but two caddies were assigned to me, one to carry my bag, the other as a forward caddy to spot my ball. One of them spoke English. My partner was a local aristocrat who played in a traditional white indian outfit. Rather impressive. He played very well and was of good advice on this technical course. The greens were not all perfect - some worn spots. But the fairway and scenery were just great. Even though you can see some surrounding buildings, the course really is a kind of calm parkland heaven into this extremely noisy and crowdy city. The club house lacked some style but it is nevertheless a place to visit if ever you are in town.
