Phoenix Golf Club has evolved from its early beginnings as described below, into what has become a wonderful tree lined undulating meadowland course, that offers a very pleasant venue to test golfers of all abilities. The course measures 6181 yards in length from the medal tees with a Par of 71 and a Standard Scratch Score (SSS) of 70. The fairways are predominantly meadow grass and are mowed with a contoured effect to give more character to the layout of individual holes, which in turn compliments the greens that have subtle borrows, are well bunkered but a pleasure to play to and to putt on. This can be seen from the presentation of photographs on display throughout the pages of our website. The current amateur course record of 64 was established by Chris Pearce on 2nd June 2012 and equalled by Jordan Perry on 29th June 2013. The Ladies record of 70 was scored by Pat Exton on 14th July 2005. Pat actually has now broken her own course record twice.
