The Leckford Golf Courses are owned by the John Lewis Partnership. Employees, known as “Partners”, their spouses and dependants may play golf at Leckford, providing they have been employed by the group for three months or more and hold a Partnership discount card. Partners have the choice of paying an annual subscription, day fee or twilight ticket fee. Start times for twilight tickets vary throughout the year. The golf facilities at Leckford comprise two 9-hole courses, the Old Course 6276 yards par 72 and the New Course 4546 yards par 66. The Old Course is set in approximately 100 acres of rolling Hampshire downland which forms part of the famous Test Valley. The course was designed in the early 1930s by Harry S Colt who also designed many of the UK's famous golf courses, such as Wentworth, Muirfield, Royal Lytham and St Anne's, Sunningdale and Trevose to name but a few. Leckford Old Course is reported to be the finest and most challenging 9-hole course in the country, if not Europe.
