Founded in 1905, the Dunnerholme Golf Club is a links course on the shores of the Duddon Estuary north of the village of Askam-in-Furness. Dunnerholme Rock from which the Golf Club gets its name, is a limestone outcrop that projects out in to the Estuary and is part of the course. The flat top of the rock forms a strategic feature of the club’s signature Par 3, sixth hole – from the top, on a clear day, the panoramic view over the Duddon Sands to the Lakeland Fells and Mountains is spectacular.
