The course incorporates a number of the original holes built in 1991. Recent years have seen extensive improvments resulting in redesigned and enlarged greens, lengthened tees and the addition of over 500 trees around the course. The contours of the land means, that to score well, managing your way around this course often provides a better reward than trying to hit long. The definition and character of the course is beautifully complemented by stunning vistas of Dartmoor and Exmoor - it is a superb golfing experience. The Ashbury 9 is played in conjunction with the Pines front 9. Pines front 9 provides great risk-reward golf, with wide fairways and larger than average greens but beware: mature hedgerows, many bunkers and 5 ponds lay in wait.
