The course wintered very well and the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in outstanding shape. The tight holes force you to hit the bill on line and the greens have a definite bias to breaking towards the river. The thirteenth hole is a par 5 double dogleg to a tiered green that is a great test for a medium length long hole. The patio overlooks much of the golf course and the friendly service compliments the quality food and pleasant ambiance. Situated in a river valley, there are some elevation climbs on the front nine, but the course is easily walkable as the eighth tee is the high point on the course and it's all downhill from there...so to speak.
A walker friendly, neat and tidy parkland style 18 hole course with tree lined fairways and small poa annua greens. The par 5 fourth hole is the signature hole and a difficult but fair test that places a premium on accuracy on all shots and has a tiered green, so position your approach properly.
The greens restaurant service is exceptional and the view from the patio overlooking the 18th green is very nice.
This is a river valley setting and while relatively exempt from wind, if there is any wind, it will be swirling and particular attention should be paid to all wind direction indicators on every shot. Patience and taking what the course gives you are you best practices for a good score.
