Profondeville, between Namur and Dinant, is first and foremost a impressive site in a very nice natural landscape. No wonder that Rouge- mont, created in 1986, on the initiative of a few dedicated golf players, rapidly made a name for itself for being extremely charming and challenging. It’s one of those courses, which, like a good wine, gets better and better as the years roll by. The magnificent views down on the Meuse valley should not distract the player though as this course is mentally, technically and physically very demanding. Every hole has its name here (Le Loup, La Poire, Le Potager...) but the 7th (Les Pins) is definitely one of the most spectacular and difficult, mainly because a huge water hazard on the right side of the fair- way which will teach the slicers a little respect ! The cosy clubhouse, neatly accommodated in a little castle typical of the Namur area, still fur- ther enhances the enjoyment of playing here. A fine place to spend a golfing day in a very at- tractive area.
