course description

Barseback Golf and Country Club, founded in 1967, is renowned for hosting the 2003 Solheim Cup, in which Europe, led by Anika Sorenstam, the best female golfer of that or perhaps any time, achieved a stunning win over the US. The club occupies an excellent site for the game; part of the Masters Course threads its way among mature evergreens, and part plays along the Oresund Sea. Fairways are narrow, requiring precision to approach the greens. The Masters is formed from the best eighteen of the thirty-six holes here, the last of which were completed in 1989, and with a length of 6250 meters it has attracted the Swedish Masters repeatedly and the Swedish Team Championships in 2010. After a spacious 1st, the holes by the sea are fairly straightforward, but things get tougher as the round progresses. The club features a very nice clubhouse, which was renovated and enlarged in 2009.

The course is fantastic with a great mix of linksy holes along the water and a few holes in between the pines and trees. Hitting fairways is key, especially with how small and narrow the greens are!

Played the Master Course in July. Great Condition, fast greens. Loved the holes along the sea.
