The course features a woodland edge, fairways ranging from 25 to 35 yards in width, smallish greens and standing or running water on 13 holes.A glance at the card of the course may tempt the stronger golfer to believe that with modern technique and equipment the course can be overpowered. This rarely happens. Par is always a good score. The amateur course record is 66 by Danny Holmes of Wrotham Heath (+2) and the professional course record is 62 by Richard Wallis (Walmer and Kingsdown) and have stood for many years. For the handicap golfer with more modest ambitions you will find a good test of your course management and short game skills, but without being concerned at losing too many golf balls.
