The course at Aphrodite Hills was laid out by prolific American architect Cabell Robinson in 2002 on a site that looks down on the Mediterranean Sea, and it is a credit to Cabell's skill and cleverness that he managed to find a place for a full eighteen holes here. The surroundings in some ways resemble the US Southwest, with the greens and fairways stretched out through tough, arid terrain dotted with the occasional carob or olive tree. The full-service facility features first-class accommodations at the affiliated hotel, so the experience is self-contained. A small valley that cuts across the two hills where the holes are located is frequently in play, and large ponds help to keep things interesting as well. Buggies are mandatory and included in the rate.
