The golf course has a unique location, at Skjoldnæs lighthouse, surrounded by sea on three sides. There are sea views from all greens and the course is thus the only one of its kind in Denmark. A seaside course that would otherwise need to Scotland or Ireland to experience. The view is outstanding, and one must often stop and welcome that was given dispensation to build a coastal golf course right here. Especially in the summer there are a myriad of sailing ships in the Baltic Sea and the Archipelago, on the way around the Skjoldnæs guy that takes the breath away from most golfers. The vessels are often so close to the pitch that you can hear the chatter on board, if there is no wind. A round on the course is a unique experience that you should indulge yourself, and many guest players returning again and again. The first 9 holes run on the south side of Aero, and the last 9 holes running behind Skjoldnæs lighthouse, on the northern tip of the island. The challenges are many, both there and back, and especially when it is windy. One should also take heed of the many protected dykes, but space wisely affordable to play. The track is not physically demanding. The joy of playing golf at Aero, starts on the beautiful trip out to Skjoldnæs lighthouse that stands as a significant landmark for the golf course. Golf club has clubhouse in the charming old lighthouse. The course is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
