Rees Jones had the honor of being selected to construct a course at the members-only Three Creek Ranch Golf Club, which is in Wyoming's stunning Jackson Hole area. Situated at an elevation of over six thousand feet and surrounded by white-topped Grand Tetons, the grounds are home to a wide variety of wildlife, from eagles to moose. Jones's layout brings into play grassland and a number of native streams. The gentle ups and downs of the fairways are edged by occasional trees that leave the scenery in view. Holes are memorable for the various shots that are required, as is very much the case in the stretch from the 15th to the 18th, the latter a thrilling 630 yards where the green can be reached in three, provided you're not too distracted by the breathtaking vistas. A meal at the clubhouse's fine restaurant caps off the day nicely.
