Welwyn Garden City Golf Club is a friendly members’ golf club which prides itself on providing a warm welcome for all visitors, and a fair test for all standards of golfer on one of the best courses in Hertfordshire. It was founded in 1923 and is the home Club of Sir Nick Faldo and former Walker Cup player, Tom Lewis, who turned professional in 2011 and secured his European Tour Card by winning the 2011 Portugal Masters in only his third professional tournament. It also offers excellent dining and drinking facilities. It is a traditional but progressive club with over 600 playing members. It has an active membership, friendly clubhouse atmosphere, and a strong junior section. Golf societies and visitors are very welcome during the week, with some availability for visitors at weekends. The busy social calendar contributes to encouraging a social membership of over 100 people.
