course description

It is said to be an unwritten rule that no one person can be a member of every one of the quartet of the finest private clubs in the US, Augusta, Cypress Point, Seminole and Pine Valley, though there are some with membership in three. The latter club is located on a densely forested and surprisingly remote site outside of Philadelphia. Now a century old, the course was developed by George Crump and finished by Harry S. Colt after Crump's demise. Pine Valley early became known as a great challenge; for a long time no one was able to score better than 80 owing to the tight, tree-lined fairways and the fast and sculpted greens. The layout continues to put players to the test, and it is a real special occasion whenever a dedicated golfer gets the chance for a round at Pine Valley; James Finnegan even wrote a tome about the place.

(Fabulous)

Best hole framing in golf. Been 4 years since I played it and I can still remember all 18. Unique!!
