Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club was established in 1851 by 28 founding members, including Tom Morris. Prestwick St Nicholas is at the heart of a wonderful golfing area in Ayrshire with spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran in the west and Ailsa Craig in the south. A traditional Scottish links with sandy soil, gorse and deep bunkers, the course has been shaped by golfing legends. The sea can be seen from every hole - unusual features include the Salt Pan buildings behind the 1st green which were constructed in 1790 to extract salt from the sea water. This is a good test for players of all abilities but Prestwick St Nicholas favours the thinking golfer. Year-round golf is possible due to the warming influence of the Gulf Stream and the course is always kept immaculately manicured. A very warm welcome awaits you at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club - an experience not to be missed.
