We played the Mountain course at this impressive looking 54 hole golf resort that is only reachable by boat. A modern wide English style tree lined parkland course, it was in great condition but we couldn’t really understand why it was called the Mountain. We played during the day, and maybe the course which is floodlit would be more interesting after dark but sadly we were very much underwhelmed by the challenge & the visual appeal of the course & had FOMO throughout as what we could see of the newer Kings course looked far more interesting. The Mountain course wasn’t bad there just want very much to get you excited on each hole and the format felt fairly ‘samey’ from start to finish. I normally take lots of photos playing golf on holiday but today I took just three. Caddies were delightful, food was very good but staff at reception & in the restaurant who were far from busy were surprisingly ‘offish’. 4* for conditioning, 2* for interest, giving a fairly generous 3* overall.
