The East Course The original eighteen holes at Broadmoor in Colorado Springs were laid out by Donald Ross in 1918. Thirty years later, Robert Trent Jones laid out another eighteen, and the resulting holes were redistributed to create two courses, the East and West, each featuring nine by Jones and nine by Ross. The third course, the Mountain, was built by Arnold Palmer's design team in 1976. All this effort has helped Broadmoor to maintain its status as a major venue for US amateur golf: the club has hosted the Amateur Championship and the Curtis and Walker Cup tournaments, as well as the 2011 US Women's Open Championship. The topography of the East is consistent with the mountainous terrain for which Colorado is famous, though it occupies lower ground than the West and South and so offers more level playing surfaces. The 6725-meter length seems imposing, but remember that balls go farther at this altitude. The West Course Get ready for rolling fairways, multi-level greens, and demanding hazards at the stunning yet formidable West Course. At 6,800 feet, this 18-hole course has more doglegs and steeply-angled greens than the East Course, and offers breathtaking views of both the mountains and Colorado Springs. The West Course plays tighter off the tee, with more heavily tree-lined holes than the East Course, and also gives players an array of spectacular approach shots. Don't let the stunning mountain views distract you; our West Course may look like a postcard, but it offers a very challenging and rewarding round of golf. The Mountain Course After undergoing renovations by Nicklaus Design, the Mountain Course was reopened in July 2006 and plays to a maximum of 7,700 yards, par 72. This beautifully designed course features wide, forgiving fairways and large greens with beautiful mountain vistas, ideal for a range of skill levels and handicaps.

Fabulous
Stunning mountainside golf courses with exceptional layouts utilizing the natural terrain. Great resort and golf staff. The courses have been in great shape every time I have played. Worth every penny.
