The first nine holes at Biddermann were designed in the 20's by Devereux Emmet, but Dick Wilson was in charge of extending the course to 18 holes in 1965. There is only one local rule at Biddermann Golf Club: "the ball must be lifted from any flower bed and dropped no nearer the hole without penalty". In 1977, Biddermann Golf Club merged with Vicmead Hunt Club to form only one sporting club, but 2 separated clubhouses. Today, Biddermann Golf Club has around 300 members, so there is no more than 8,000 rounds per year played on the course. The course is meticulously maintained and provides challenges to golfers of all handicap levels, while still providing an approachable course to the novice.
