The 18-hole course at the Avalon Golf and Country Club features 6,764 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The various terrains, elevations, and slopes over each of our 18 holes make for exceptional golf challenges. Our course is located in some of the most breath-taking country in all of Tennessee. Designed by Joseph L. Lee, the Avalon golf course opened in 1997. Founded in 1996, the Avalon Golf and Country Club was the vision of Knoxville area Developers Paul Gillenwater and David Burleson. The golf course was designed by renowned architect Joe Lee. The beautiful hillside community and club offer spectacular views of the East Tennessee countryside. The Avalon Golf & C. C has hosted several area charity golf tournaments including the ALS Charity Golf Classic, Tennessee Children’s Home charity, K. A. R. M. and the UT Medical Center, Tee it up for Trauma and several others. At Avalon, the commitment to excellence doesn’t end at the golf course, but extends to every service and facility, including practice facilities.
